When I brought it back up with them they had just changed online payment systems and now wanted to tell me it was not their responsibility to credit the previous payments. In short they stole several hundred dollars from me. On a separate note, recently the water had been shut off for several days. Management went around and left notes all all doors saying that there was a water main break and they weren't sure when it would be fixed. It is also near impossible to get any maintenance help when you need it.
They recently changed management - big mistake because the previous manager was awesome. New staff is unfriendly, cold and don't seem to want to help you resolve any issues you may have. After many years of living here, I'm looking forward to leaving when my lease ends next September.

When I'm coming in for my mail, they know as soon as I walk in and have it ready for me. They're helpful with answering questions and always having my requests for maintenance quickly completed. I've lived here for a little over a year now and have had no complaints. Apartments have flooding issues window issues, unreasonable or explainable utilities. Management and staff have changed several times in two years! I would never recommend this to a friend or an enemy that is now bad this place is.

Elmhurst Terrace Apartments
There are no lights in the living room or bedroom, and the lights in the other rooms are track lights. The tile in the bath is painted white, and it started peeling off after a few months. The dryer takes at least two rounds to dry clothing, which takes time and is expensive. If you have laundry in your unit, you only have one closet in the whole apartment. There is no bedroom door, so any guests using the bathroom need to see/enter your bedroom. The baseboards all look like they have been chewed up and chipped for 50 years, just continually painted over.

Open maintenance tickets,mice, ants and very cheaply maintained they put a screw in my dishwasher to make the rack stay put instead of replacing a wheel. We had a leak in the ceiling that they "fixed" and still leaked this place was good when we moved in.
There are so many issue in apartments which maintenance staff don’t want to fix, if you complain about maintenance staff to manager she will just listen and ignore your concerns. To fix any issue they take 7-15 day or never come and close request. Also they don’t have policy to sublease if you want to leave apartment also don’t allow you to move in other apartment in same society. Staff changed very frequently so every month you will talk to new person. I have a list of over 30 maintenance requests that we told them at move in needed to be fixed.
The only problem was that there was a mistake in their online payment system that had my rent listed much higher than it was supposed to be. After discussing this with management I decided to pay the higher amount so that I did not receive late penalties for those months. Management assured me they would credit my account in future months to account for the over payment. A few months went by and still no credit.
I have had packages stolen a number of times. Food delivery services can never find your apartment, and mail services do not go to your specific unit ever. My unit’s heat was at only 65 degrees (so cold!) and my bill was over $400 for a ONE BEDROOM!!!!!
Don't move here if you ever expect to get your security deposit back. Moved out a year ago, have called multiple times, and they still haven't gotten me my deposit refund.
